Double blow for Stenny
Stenhousemuir have been hit by a double injury blow ahead of the clash with neighbours Alloa, with Iain Thomson and John Gemmell ruled out.
The Warriors are again without defender Scott Buist and could be further weakened as Eric Paton and Brown Ferguson both face late fitness checks.
Manager Martyn Corrigan said: "We are down to the bare bones if these guys do not make it and we will promote from the youth squad accordingly.
"Suspension and injuries have hampered us all season but we need to forget about that and just get on with things against a more than decent Alloa side.
"Hopefully our bad luck has run out and a win over Alloa signals a change in our fortune."
Alloa welcome back Michael Doyle from a two-game ban as they make the short journey looking to avenge a 2-0 defeat earlier in the season.
The Wasps also include Aberdeen attacker Nicky Low after extending his loan deal, with striker Martin Grehan the only doubt for Paul Hartley's side.
Hartley said: "This game will be another tight one in what is a really competitive Second Division. Queen of the South have done fantastically well to open up a gap as every game in this league is a tight one.
"Stenhousemuir are usually strong at home but our away form has been good so far this season and we can go there and look for the win."
