Gemmell in contention
Stenhousemuir striker John Gemmell will be available to face Alloa after the red card he was shown against Brechin last Saturday was overturned on appeal.
Calf injuries keep Ross McMillan and Kevin McKinlay on the sidelines, with Sean Dickson's hamstring strain and David Rowson's back problem ruling them out. Craig Anderson is also absent through illness.
Manager Martyn Corrigan said: "This is a big game for us, especially after the disappointment of losing to Albion Rovers in midweek.
"Having John available is great as he is a big player for us, but we are a bit light numbers-wise.
"We never got our passing game going at all in midweek but back on our pitch I'm sure we can do that and look for the win that keeps us in the play-off chase."
Second-placed Alloa go looking for their fourth away win in a row without defender Ben Gordon who will be serving a one-match suspension.
Jason Marr returns after an ankle injury and Ryan McCord is available after a groin problem, however the game has come too soon for captain Darren Young who is still troubled by a calf problem.
Manager Paul Hartley said: "We have had three very tough meetings with Stenhousemuir this season and I would imagine this one will be the same. We have managed to win two and it would be great to make that three.
"We are going into it in good form and I am really pleased with the form of Callum Elliot who has added a lot to our attack since he joined."
