On-loan Celtic goalkeeper Robbie Thomson will continue between the posts for Stenhousemuir against Arbroath.
Thomson joined the Warriors on Tuesday and played a starring role as the Ochilview side took SPL side Inverness to penalties in the Scottish Communities League Cup.
Callum Reidford missed that shoot-out defeat with a knee problem and he has been ruled out again.
Midfielder Eric Paton also remains out with a hip injury.
Ahead of their return to league action, manager Martyn Corrigan said: "The players did really well against Inverness but we have to get going again really quickly against a tough Arbroath side that will get a boost if we start slowly.
"They beat us recently in the Ramsdens Cup and there was very little between the sides, but if we play like we did on Tuesday we can take the three points."
Scott Morrison will keep his place in the Arbroath goal.
Darren Hill remains out with a broken arm and Tony Bullock is unavailable due to family commitments, with midfielder Danny Denholm also absent for the same reason.
Ahead of the game, Gayfield boss Paul Sheerin said: "It was a frustrating afternoon against Forfar last weekend when we had 30 minutes against nine men and never created anything.
"We have not been as good going forward this season as we have been in the last couple and hopefully we can start putting that right against Stenhousemuir.
"It will be difficult as they were great in midweek against Inverness but we will be looking to win."
