Skipper out of vital clash
Stenhousemuir need a win against visitors Ayr United to keep their thin play-off hopes alive however the Warriors will be without skipper Scott Buist who has an injured knee.
Brown Ferguson is also out after an ankle operation and Stewart Kean is missing due to a calf problem with manager Martyn Corrigan hoping that his side can build on their midweek success of defeating champions Queen of the South 2-1.
Corrigan said: "It was a good win on Tuesday night and it meant that we had picked up seven points from our last three games to keep us in the hunt.
"Whilst that is a good run it may not be enough to get us into the play-offs so we have to target nine points from our last three games."
Ayr United will give midfielder David Sinclair a fitness test on his injured ankle ahead of kick-off.
The Honest Men are already without Martyn Campbell and Michael McGowan with knee injuries and John Robertson with an ankle problem.
Manager Mark Roberts is looking for his side to end the season with 12 points from four games.
Roberts said: "Our play-off hopes have all but gone but we can still end the season positively. We defeated Albion Rovers last week and the plan is to build on that and get as many points on board as possible.
"We will attack Stenhousemuir and I am sure they will attack us as they need a win to have any chance of making the play-offs. It should be a really open game."
