Livingston moved 11 points clear at the top of the table after clinging on to claim a 2-1 against bottom of the table Stenhousemuir.
Two first half goals in six minutes from Iain Russell and Bobby Barr put the league leaders in charge early on at the Almondvale Stadium.
But Stenhousemuir, who began the day just three points adrift of second-bottom East Fife, showed character to get themselves back in the game in the second half.
Russell put Livi on their way with a close range finish after 33 minutes, with Barr providing the assist.
Barr then lashed home with his right foot from the edge of the penalty area six minutes before the break.
Scott Dalziel and William Lyle came close for the visitors before Stenny pulled a goal back in the 63rd minute, when substitute Alex Williams turned in a close-range effort.
The second division strugglers pressed for their equaliser and Williams was off target with a header in the 82nd minute.
But Livingston closed the game out and extended their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.
