Queens Park 0 Stenhousemuir 0
This was definitely not one of the classic matches at a venue steeped in history and the setting for two of Real Madrid's European Cup wins.
The weather hardly helped, for although it was sunny at times, it was also bitterly cold and breezy. Even so, it was disappointing to see both sides fail to rise above their billing as mid-table teams in Scotland's lowest division.
Due to a virus whitch hit at least five players, Queens Park looked flat and could not build on Tuesday's 4-0 win over Albion Rovers. Although they controlled the game in the second half, they carried little threat without suspended top scorer John-Paul McBride.
Stuart Kettlewell and Shaun Molloy were Queens' best players in the first period with Molloy heading down a clever free-kick from Paul Harvey but finding no support inside the penalty box.
Stenhousemuir threatened just before the break when a low cross by Joe Savage almost forced an own goal, and the visitors then stepped up the pressure after the interval. Martin Lauchlan had a penalty claim rejected and then created a chance which Joe Savage fired wide.
But Stenhousemuir could not make any further progress, and in the last 15 minutes Kettlewell wasted a free header from close range and then Queens' top scorer Frank Carroll saw his cross deflected off target by defender Steven McGregor .
